Monumental “Ballerina” Chandelier USA, 1950s
Often attributed to Finnish designer Paavo Tynell, this incredible vintage 1950s chandelier was made by Lightolier. Hand-machined brass elements have an elegant age-appropriate patina and the entire fixture has just been rewired. Lacquered spun aluminum shades are perforated and cast a dancing soft light upwards and out. Just under 5’ in diameter with a 36” drop. It is huge and gorgeous and quite rare.
